These are the are the bugs solved and improvements provided by the last update package (UP6 or Happar M.E. v3.2.5)
28/09/2008: We have reports from a small amount of users running Update Package 6 over a PHP 5 host that get this error in the main page:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function [obfuscated]() in [path]/index.php on line 0.
You can solve this issue by enabling the mbstring PHP module.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ
XHTML 1.0 Transitional: Now Happar is almost 100% XHTML compliant. What this means is your sites can be better read and indexed by all search engines worldwide, this is an absolute milestone for Happar.
UTF-8 full support: Now every single place in Happar will support UTF-8, so you should be able to write in any language that can be written using this character set.

Pause Mode Improvements:
- Now you don’t get a direct 404 not found error when searching, you receive that only for pending keywords.
- Now you can add active keywords from cron while on pause mode. Also, pending keywords will change to active!!!
- Now the keywords added from the ‘Add Multiple Keywords option’ will be added with the selected status.
Squeeze Page: Highly configurable squeeze page! Place it in the pages you want, with the content you want and with the aspect you want. To modify squeeze page appearance, just modify the squeezepage.css file.
Article Sources: Now you can choose from 2 articles sources from where to scrape content
Translation Sources: Now you can choose from 2 translation sources, Google and Yahoo!
NOTE: Yahoo! translation source does not work as well as the Google one, you’ll simply be redirected to the translated page, but anyway, this helps people on a Hosting Provider banned from google.
Custom Code: Now you add custom PHP code to Happar! Just edit the custom_code.php file.
CAPTCHA on Blog comment: No more SPAM in your Happar blog!
More Cache Control: Now you can select if you want to store cache content zipped (to save storage space) or unzipped (to increase performance).
Flicker is giving an obfuscation error after UP5 -> SOLVED!!
Article Template not showing -> SOLVED!!
No results for some keywords -> SOLVED!! Warning: This patch may slow down the sites with this issue.

WARNING! This hotfix will make Happar fail in PHP4 based hosts, so if your host uses PHP4, just don’t install it. Only install this update in PHP5 based hosts. This bug cannot be solved, as it has been introduced by a very important new functionality: UTF-8 support. PHP4 has some bugs with multibyte encoded (UTF-8) strings that makes Happar ME with UP6 fail.
